Harry Winston opened its doors in 1932 and immediately began transforming diamonds into works of art and revolutionizing modern jewelry design.
In 1989, Harry Winston introduces a collection of watches called Utimate Timepieces, which pushed the limits of horology. Eleven years later, the brand launched the Opus series. Each year, a particularly innovative independent watchmaker is invited to create a unique model for the brand. Among the earliest candidates were the likes of F-P. Journe, Félix Baumgartner and Greubel & Forsey, who each created their own Opus.
The presentation of the new Opus during Baselworld has become an important event of the watchmaking year, just like the release of the Harry Winston “Histoire de Tourbillon” models.
