The new Premier models, with radiant, two-tone mother-of-pearl dials, offer an extraordinary show of depth and volume.

Dynamic color

Color takes center-stage in the Premier Diamond Second Automatic. The rose gold model, with its captivating blue dial, transports the wearer directly to the heart of Harry Winston’s story, where the color blue has long enjoyed a starring role. Throughout the course of Mr. Winston’s career, he owned more than one-third of the world’s most famous diamonds, including the legendary 45.52-carat blue Hope Diamond, which he acquired in 1949. Recalling the stone’s unique quality and rich hues, the magic and intensity of the dark blue mother-of-pearl dial changes according to the light conditions. In contrast to the deep royal blue background, a white mother-of-pearl crescent embraces the ex-centered hours and minutes counter.

The white gold model, with its lustrous milky white mother-of-pearl canvas, features a burgundy mother-of-pearl ribbon that hugs the excentered hours and minutes counter. In both Premier models, the contrasting colored crescents on the dial create an optical illusion, as the round diamond hour markers seemingly move upwards and outwards towards the viewer. An emerald-cut diamond proudly marks the 12 o’clock hour and recalls the favorite cut of the “King of Diamonds.”

The famous Winston Cluster performs a dance at 6 o’clock

The delicate seconds counter is another celebration of Harry Winston’s rich heritage and recalls the House’s iconic cluster motif, a revolutionary design developed by Mr. Winston, who wanted to free diamonds from their cumbersome metal settings. By alternating pear, marquise and round brilliant diamonds and setting them at varying angles, clusters of stones were transformed into three-dimensional sculptures, full of movement and life.

Encircled by a wreath of 39 round brilliant diamonds, the small seconds counter at 6 o’clock echoes the unique design of Harry Winston’s signature cluster motif. Three white gold or rose gold hands, adorned with three pink sapphires or three white diamonds respectively, dance along the counter, to the beat of the seconds, bringing a beautiful display of motion to the dial.

The Premier case

Since its debut in 1989, Harry Winston’s Premier Timepiece Collection has been the designated series to showcase various artistic effects, like the eye-catching mother- of-pearl dials on these new models. Instantly recognizable with its distinctive diamond-set lugs that attach the case to the bracelet and replicate the shape of the arched entrance to Harry Winston’s Fifth Avenue Flagship Salon, the Premier Diamond Second Automatic is available in 18-karat white and rose gold 36mm cases with 57 round brilliant diamonds on the bezel and lugs.

A sophisticated mechanical movement

The Premier Diamond Second Automatic 36mm is powered by a high-end Swiss automatic movement. Equipped with the latest horological breakthroughs - in the form of a flat silicon balance spring - the movement comes with a generous power reserve of 72 hours. With its sapphire crystal caseback, the wearer can enjoy a view of the 18-karat rose gold rotor and the movement’s flawless finishes, including the circular Côtes de Genève motif, rhodium plating, and circular graining.

Matching the color of the dial, the rose gold model features a shimmering blue alligator strap, while the white gold model is presented on a pearly burgundy strap.
