Celebrating the dazzling art of snow-setting, bright candy- colored gemstones are set on the dial and case of this vibrant limited-edition high jewelry timepiece which is equipped with a sophisticated mechanical heart.

For many women, walking into a Harry Winston Salon is similar to the thrill experienced by a child walking into a candy shop. Surrounded by tempting high jewelry creations, making a decision can be a deliciously difficult experience. Harry Winston has captured this whimsical moment with the multi-colored Premier Winston Candy timepiece. Playing with eight different gemstones, the colorful confetti blanketing the dial is destined to satisfy the cravings of even the sweetest tooth.

Candy-colored gemstones

Like a high jewelry dispenser, the dial of the Premier Winston Candy features a cascade of 244 diamonds and candy-colored gems. To create the joyful scene on the dial, eight different gemstones were cut in three different sizes and artfully snow- set. By combining the bright white light of 108 diamonds with the dazzling neon- blue of 25 Paraiba tourmalines, the intense green glow of 24 tsavorites, the vivid orange hue of 24 spessartites and the mysterious fire of 17 dark- and 17 light-blue sapphires, as well as 16 red spinels and 13 pink sapphires, Harry Winston has created its most delectable high jewelry timepiece to date.

The beauty of snow-set gemstones

Harry Winston’s master gem-setters have turned to the art of snow-setting, a technique that was designed to capture the natural –and irregular - beauty of freshly fallen snow. Rather than the traditional method of prong-setting uniform gemstones, snow-setting relies on different-sized stones, which are in turn set into an underlying gold structure pitted with hollowed-out areas. The challenge is to set the stones side by side, revealing as little metal as possible, while also maximizing the fire of each individual stone.

As a result, three different sizes of stones are snow-set on the dial of the Premier Winston Candy.

Premier white gold case

Since its debut in 1989, Harry Winston’s Premier collection has been designated to showcase different artistic disciplines, including this magnificent display of snow- set gemstones. Instantly recognizable by the distinctive lugs that replicate the shape of the arched entrance to Harry Winston’s Fifth Avenue Flagship Salon, the Premier Winston Candy is crafted in an 18-karat white gold case and embellished with 63 multi-colored gemstones. Reasserting its high jewelry nature, a truncated diamond is set in the crown and on either side of the lugs. Presented in a feminine 31 mm case, this smaller size is ideal for women with dainty wrists.

A sweet treat designed to last a lifetime

The Premier Winston Candy is powered by a high-end Swiss automatic movement with a 40-hour power reserve. Equipped with the latest technology in the form of a flat silicon balance spring, this movement is destined to keep impeccable time. The sapphire crystal case back reveals the attention to detail synonymous with all Harry Winston creations, in this case with a rose gold openworked rotor and elegant finishes - circular Côtes de Genève motifs, rhodium plating and circular graining - on the movement.

A limited-edition of 77 pieces, the Premier Winston Candy is presented on a raspberry strap with a white gold ardillon buckle set with 15 colorful gemstones, echoing the décor of the dial and case.
