THE HOUSE OF HARRY WINSTON CELEBRATES THE OPENING OF ITS NEW BRAND EXHIBITION AT THE CITÉ DU TEMPS GENEVA

The House of Harry Winston is pleased to announce the opening of its new exhibition, “Facets of Harry Winston”, at the Cité du Temps, in Geneva, Switzerland.

Showcasing its most iconic and beloved fine jewelry and timepiece designs, the exhibition will explore the brand’s more than 80 year-long history, highlighting the brilliant achievements and definitive moments that have helped to shape its legacy as one of the most prestigious brands within the luxury industry today. “Facets of Harry Winston” exhibition will be on display from January 18 through February 21, 2016.

Like the rare gemstones and precious jewels he collected, Mr. Harry Winston saw the world through many brilliant facets. As an innate gemologist, an intuitive businessman, a dedicated philanthropist, and perhaps the ultimate risk-taker, Mr. Winston’s career was marked by daring adventures and headline-grabbing tales of the world’s most exceptional diamonds and gemstones, encounters with Heads of State and red carpet royalty, industry wide “firsts”, and an innovative design philosophy that forever changed the way in which the world views fine jewelry. It was this same pioneering spirit that also led to the 1989 debut of Harry Winston Timepieces, marking the start of renowned heritage in haute horology.

Bringing to life the wisdom, wit, and insights originally instilled by its founder, “Facets of Harry Winston” takes audiences on an extraordinary journey into the history of the brand. Dedicated areas recall the House’s most timeless tradition of quality, without compromise, showcasing its spectacular high jewelry creations and innovative timepiece designs, from the magnificent Métiers d’Arts models, to spectacular Histoire de Tourbillon, to the highly acclaimed Opus 14.

At the center of the exhibition are the façades of Harry Winston’s iconic Fifth Avenue Flagship Salon and Geneva Manufacture, which serve as a visual vault, displaying a selection of emblematic timepieces, important dates, anecdotes and images from the brand’s inception through present day, and underscore its legacy as the “Jeweler to the Stars”, and undisputed “King of Diamonds.”
