Opus 14 with Franck Orny and Johnny Girardin

Franck Orny and Johnny Girardin, both passionate about watchmaking from a very young age, are the two founders of the Télôs watch design firm, a "watchmaking idea store" created in 2009 in La Chaux-de-Fonds. "Our philosophy is to offer innovative concepts, which are often playful, allowing the wearer to have maximum interaction with his watch," reveal the two men, born in 1968 and 1974 respectively and whose personal career paths have always been devoted to this industry.

"Dreaming up and creating mechanical watches, timeless art objects with which each individual forges a special relationship..." is how Franck Orny perceives his craft. Having started as a manufacturer of special machines for various companies, he then joined Nivarox, a specialist in escapements and regulators, which allowed him to "discover the wealth of the watchmaking world." He later became production manager at Atokalpa and was then responsible for development mandates at Parmigiani and Greubel Forsey.

Johnny Girardin began his career at Patek Philippe as a draftsman manufacturer of mechanical movements. "As a lifelong enthusiast of mechanical objects in general, I quickly gravitated to the watch, as it is in my opinion the only mechanism that is actually wearable. I like the idea of being able to sport something that is alive on the wrist," commented the complications buff. He then held the position of project manager at Girard-Perregaux and Greubel Forsey.

In February 2009, they jointly founded Télôs Watch SA. Responsible for development, production, and the filing and sale of patents, they create exclusive models while developing patents for various types of tourbillons, escapements and power reserves.

They joined forces with Harry Winston Timepieces for the creation of the Opus 14.
